Privacy Policy

VB Match Tracker ("the app", "we", "us") is a tool for volleyball coaches to record their team's play and scout opponents. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do use a small number of service providers to run the app, listed below.
Information you provide

• Subscription purchases — if you subscribe to VB Match Tracker Pro, the purchase is made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles your payment; we never see or store your card or Apple ID details. We receive only whether your subscription is active, its plan and its renewal date.

• Account — your email address and a password, used to create your account and sign you in. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

• Volleyball data you enter — the teams, rosters (jersey numbers and, optionally, a first name or position), matches, and the play-by-play events and stats you record. Rosters are meant to hold minimal identifying detail (typically just a number). You are responsible for the roster information you choose to enter.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data needed to operate the service (for example, timestamps on your records and standard server logs from our hosting provider). We do not track your location, contacts, photos, or usage across other apps or websites.

• Device information — to limit each account to 2 devices, the app creates a random device identifier and records your device's model name (for example "iPhone 17 Pro"), its platform and when it was last used. You can see and remove your devices in Settings → Account → Your devices.

How your data is stored

• Your data is stored locally on your device (so the app works offline during a match) and, when you are online, synced to our cloud database hosted on Supabase (infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services). Row-level security ensures each account can only access its own data.

• Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.

• We use these providers to operate the app. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase (hosting on Amazon Web Services): your account and volleyball data.

• RevenueCat: manages subscription status. It receives your account ID (a random identifier, not your email) and your purchase status from Apple.

• Apple: processes App Store purchases and subscriptions.

• Resend: sends account emails, such as the email-confirmation message, from our domain.

How we use your data

• To provide the app: authenticate you, store your records, and sync them across your devices.

• To respond to support requests you send us.

• We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers named above.

• To confirm your email address and secure your account.

• To manage your subscription and unlock Pro features.

• To enforce the 2-device limit per account.

Data retention and deletion

• Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your account and all associated teams, matches, and stats from your device and from our servers. Backups are purged on our provider's normal rotation (within 30 days).

• Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. To cancel, go to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

• You may also email us to request deletion (see below).

Children
The app is intended for use by coaches, who are adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Rosters entered by a coach may include minors' jersey numbers and first names; coaches should limit roster entries to what is necessary and should have an appropriate basis for recording that information under their league or club rules.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can do most of this directly in the app; for anything else, contact us and we will help.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
